Blackmon wcblackmon.com Audio: [Music] so what we have here we'll start with some steaks they've already been seasoned good take this take it lay it down there we've got a couple [Music] right there they just some rabbis pretty big river [Music] once we get these on show you [Music] especially tonight for here someone doesn't want to deal with all the charcoal close that down for right now we can get a good look at those steaks right there the place may wander back when out front here and one over here to the left we're gonna go ahead close us down what we're using here is this is the camp shelf pellet grill and the wonderful thing about it is it has a temperature gauge over here to the left you got this temperature temperature gage you can use it we have a low smoke if you want to smoke something all day you can do that high smoke same thing just spend a little bit of a higher temperature today we're using since we're doing these steaks and we don't want to be out here all day I've got a set on matter of fact we're gonna do when resented [Music] we're gonna know in 325 right now keep it on 325 and what we want to do is cook those steaks and we want to get them at a temperature of a hundred and thirty-two right about there and once they get the 132 we're going to move them over to the sear which is under this little contraption here we have this top over right now so we're going to move those over to the sear one at a time and get that sucker seared up and get all those justice locked in tasting good and soda we're gonna have this east base perfect and then we're also going to add some vests with a little bit later now while we're doing that and I talked about one other things grilling one of the things that I get asked all the time is are you thrilled if you can't see if you don't have the eye to see what you're doing and I actually love the question because what happens is really without being able to see it's just like anything else if we don't have one tool that you can use one resource that you can use what you do is you go to the next one the next best resource so what you focus on is what you do have rather than what you don't have you don't have two hands so you use the one that you have if you don't have any hands then you use your feet and I honestly have there's a video out there a wonderful video actually I had the honor and opportunities to work with someone on a video and they were also featuring someone who trolled with their feet which is truly incredible to me but we'd already get sidetracked from this grilling the thing is is whatever you don't have you find other ways to make it happen and this grill makes it very easy to gauge you don't have to really worry about charcoal or making sure you're getting at the right temperature they're staying lit this is the pellet grill I'm gonna move over just a little bit and show you just working while we're talking so I'm going to pull this up decision to stop being her TV or we have in here some pellets in those pellets what we have now they're cooking they're really what makes this group go and keep it hot right I already showed you down here is also a temperature gauge we can tell what your temperature is of your grill at the moment now of course I can't see that takes anyone else is watching this you do not know I cannot see it all at least not and so that I can read the screen so I can see that but I have a wonderful little gadget that I'll be showing a little bit later that will actually read the temperature for me I'll have these probes up here they're sticking to the beat we'd be able to determine exactly how hot is it ready for me to check it off and put it on to the series so we'll be doing that a little bit later and I need some things have been on in 5 minutes now we'll give them another five minutes and then we'll check them and see where they are okay so I'm going here and I've gotten my probe out on my iPad and so here's the probe right here and get a shot of that and I haven't all right that's two probes we're gonna open it so but we're gonna see exactly what temperature we're at right now so these little probes you just you take the little tab and you pull it off and what I always do is make sure I clean them at after each use and clean the little test and so we're gonna take this frog to side right here we're gonna do this all work out front so that's letting me know right there Ready Set 132 and it's ready [Music] Jaso that one's ready [Music] all right so they're all three ready for the doper so what we're gonna do is over here to this side [Music] so basically what I did is I had mine I had the probe set at 132 degrees so we're gonna flip these what I feel everybody has a different little method I just go to the edge or the floor easiest pie lift it over done go to this one go to the edge flip it over it's done ok and then this last one sometimes you might you have this little grill in the back you have to be careful again like I said it's not about you know whether you can stick your fingers just to run out what you know what knowing where everything is in relation to what you're doing the same way get it flipped over and we're gonna let that go for about five minutes and then we're gonna take that it was up move it over here to the sear you already have the steerer going wonderful thing about this grill it's an electric it has those pellets over on the other side it makes it it gets it hot but then it has a cord plugs in it actually does all electronic stuff and what happened I can't explain that because I don't know how to either made I just know they work well but this side of things is there sealer box it has a tank on the back of it and that's a guys take propane tank and that's where it runs off oh so you're able to run both of these at the same time and you had that city right now you can see I already have this all and I've got to turn down on low now this sucker here it gets up to 900 degrees so either you have to definitely be careful with it but what we're going to do like I said after another two minutes we're gonna bring those steaks over here one time and we're going to put turn it up to about five 600 degrees I'm gonna turn it up to that to that temperature and then we're going to quarter turn it and we're gonna like I said lock those new Suzanne on both sides it's gonna be beautiful it be great looking forward to mmm chomping down on those steaks afterwards and then we're gonna bring out some vegetables law while the steaks are simmering in a plate we're going to get the vegetables going because they only take about seven minutes to get them done zucchini and squash okay stuff again we want to just hone in on the idea on the fact that a lot of times what we do talking about pursuing our dreams and our passions what sometimes we have a tendency to do to think well I'm not ready because I don't have a certain thing but the truth is most of the times were never ready for what we're about to do but in doing it in making that decision they're taking that step forward to make it happen we get ourselves ready and that's when we become and I was saying that as a noun and a verb that's when we become it's a wonderful thing so just having the courage to do whatever it is that you want to one of the things that I love to do is grill now I don't always want to you know get in the car and go get me some barbecue or some grill steak or go to a my favorite restaurant and have a grill steak I want to come outside and be able to grill that steak and it tastes just as good as the restaurant so that's what we're doing here and I think all of you for being a part of it and we're gonna check these your steak [Music] I move good there as well I'm gonna move to this to do this first board you turn my thrills down okay miss I'm gonna turning now and what I basically just put it down on low smoke to it like one set of five at that point what we're gonna do is take it and we're gonna turn that one down and we're gonna turn this one off the sphere huh so the reason why we're turning that down it's a good we don't want to happen maybe get you so we've got this going [Music] we brought the temperature and you can see it's right there and we have home for to go ahead and put you on there be a little tight to these four big states so do one at a time that's why I'm trying to drill down over here and you're trying to stuff to get it ready so basically what I want to do here is let it go for about 45 50 seconds and then we'll do a quarter turn on it and so an importer current is 4 he wonders isn't a thriller out there you're just gonna quarter turn it back in here so we'll just turn it that way or it doesn't matter counterclockwise clockwise whatever we can fix your fancy so we're gonna go ahead turn it away touch the Tommy on it just like that so we've got our quarter-turn looking to add a couple more times and data once we do that we'll flip it over so while we're waiting that point for five seconds I just want to say again this is what it means to be able to live your dreams if you live in your dreams you're going to tell that you would like to do it it fits the desires of your heart one of my desires of my heart audience coming out and really that's what I have don't have the grill for someone else to cover you before but a habit so that I can come out here and enjoy myself and have a great steak or whatever it isn't cooking steaks ribs or brisket what-have-you enough so we're gonna go ahead for time again and again like I said you really have to be careful with what you're doing because it is hot I mean if you can hold in on that temperature gauge down here [Music] so we just fold this and off we've got to have the second went on and I bet that looks good yeah I can't see it but I know it as good doesn't it huh alright so we're going to go ahead and take this one on the inside while we finish picking up this second one and we're going to throw on some hot dogs do that in last minute show you guys how we how I do that yeah like I said just take the fork and lift it up and then take this with a potholder and go ahead and clean it because sometimes individuals don't want their meat to touch their vessels or they don't eat meat at all and they definitely don't want the vegetables mixing in with any juices or anything from the meat and so I particularly personally don't mind because I a meat-eater or vegetable eater of yeah you guys have seen me so I don't why but we're going to make sure we go ahead and do that for this video and so we're gonna go ahead take this in and clean it then we're gonna bring it back out here get it all down real good we're going to do the vegetables all right so I hear we got it never said this over here all right so we have skewers be ready grill ready ladies [Music] ladies down I'm gonna put grilled down here I'm gonna sit this down over here my way sent this down [Music] cooking it's my first time trying with these actual skewers so with those hell is sticking out and the grill kind of overlaps what I'm going to have to do is hold this up just for the time being because I didn't make a preparation for this the next time I'll know that what I need to do is get the other two skewers it I can stick the whole thing in there and just let it sit and then I can put the grill down and the reason why I'm not gonna hold it up let it just stay up is because I do want that smoke flavor in there you want that smoke flavor in there but what it bends down like this some of the smoke will get in there and also we just wanted for about three minutes to go on either side let it be doing under three minutes and they should be ready now what I'm going to do is they've been in there for a little over a minute now won't you say so what I will do is pull it up here in just a second and I'm going to brush so much savory sauce this up here [Music] rush to this seriously think about the best in you extra table because right now I'm basically have to work from the left side if I have anything you know what I do is this again going back to there's not many ever seen so I start I know where this starts don't want to burn myself of course so what I do is just take this heat it down Oh but time I get to question either the Ratana flip them over [Music] it doesn't take a whole lot of sauce whatever you do to some people do like balsamic vinegar and oil of olive oil mix along with the little season or whatever seasons they like for the sauce some people do nothing at all everyone has their own little thing they like to do the fourth one we're just brushing it on we're gonna turn it over alright go to the last one we got five skewers here know if you can actually see that or if you can't see watching this you're observing this like I would be doing yeah we have five skewers and what we have on here I didn't apologize for not I should talk about that further what we have is squash zucchini and so bell pepper mixture of the three it sounds a little tricky because they want to roll on you all right bring it on back down [Music] and again like you said I'm gonna hold it because I want to make sure that we get that little smoke in there but and also they're cooked evenly so that this doesn't push down in the stepped-up those vegetables that are earned it back towards the end of they don't cook his either all right so I'm thinking it should be about ready to have my pea ready and now with the ventures are pretty much long time and I'm gonna take them up and get water I've put them down so we're going this one first [Music] three [Music] that [Music] five so go got our passion you know thought those in his shows so they're still glowing they're not quite ready yet but now what I had to do is like I set out and go on their vegetables and to make sure I keep it the temperature not let it go up to us points to a slide over here before I check my fashion 4:25 and then we're going to do it oh man OC vegetables I wish you can wear you guys in ceilings yeah I wish you can smell they smell awesome mm-hm yeah ready for y'all want to come to dinner here's the result one of our steaks from our skewers and I don't know what do y'all think is that look good are you meat eaters that steak one that you want to eat you're interested in what you vegetables eaters massage them have been staying laying a long side that's taking something you want to eat I think I'm ready for it so we have the steak you could look at that and the scores and that's a Cheney and squash bell pepper and got the hot dog just about ready those [Music] the paint yes [Music] we all have [Music] some of us are as tall as other than and while we're in the grocery store we have to do we have to ask someone to reach up there and grab that off that top shelf whatever it is we have to find our resources we have to find our tools we have to figure out some way to make it happen and that's what we do rather we have the lives no hands no arms not as smart as the guy or the lady next to us not as strong it's a guy lady next to us whatever it is a way to Lake Wylie find a way to accomplish your dream [Music] personal changes like grilling out in the backyard some good steak and some good vegetables hey I'll see you guys
