W.C. Blackmon is already being spoken of in many circles as the next up-and-coming super motivational speaker. But what motivates and drives him most is helping individuals reach that next step in becoming their very best. Whether his audiences are large or small, he engages them with sincerity and purpose that lifts spirits and causes minds to flow freely with unlimited positivity, belief, and self-worth. His riveting childhood life story of “how the chickens disappeared” has been dubbed by his fellow Toastmasters as one that needs to be heard by anyone and everyone.
Blackmon started writing poetry early in high school. While pursuing a degree in creative writing at Florida State University, he transitioned to writing short stories and public relations pieces. This landed him the opportunity to have his works published in Tallahassee Cultural Arts Magazine and various public agency circulars and brochures. In 2006, he began performing spoken word before live audiences under the stage name Bobby B-Wise. In 2012, as Bobby B-Wise, he released the music/poetry CD “Peace of Mind,” which included the popular cuts “Shanda” and “He Cries,” a soulful ballad.
W.C. Blackmon has spoken and performed at various venues ranging from school and church organizations to night clubs and concert halls. When asked about his motivation, he reveals that he finds it in the everyday living of life. “With each day and night that an individual lives, there are myriad distractions and thousands of choices and options available, some instantly negative and devastating and others amazingly wonderful with long lasting positive results,” Blackmon asserts. “Having the stuff to maintain and thrive, in light of or in spite of these, has a way of cultivating one into a winner.”
It is to the experiences gained from these various life lessons that W.C. attributes not only to learning but to successfully competing against great odds. The loss of his eyesight at the age of five and having to continually reassess and adjust how that loss would be allowed to affect the living of his life while a child and throughout adulthood served as powerful, real-life training experience for him. Likewise, it is wisdom and understanding well mixed with God’s blessings that have further empowered him to provide motivation, encouragement, and the potential for positive transformation to his audiences as a motivational speaker.
When it comes to interests, W.C. Blackmon enjoys meeting new personalities, learning new things, and most of all, helping and seeing individuals reach their best potential.

We greatly appreciate you taking the time on Saturday to speak with the youth. They certainly enjoyed your talk and I know the adults did, too!”
